VIDEO FORMATS

The basic Windows Video format AVI, is an uncompressed format, which means that video files saved in this way tend to be very large, for example, a 90 minute movie may occupy in the region of 20GB, whereas a DVD film in compressed MPEG-2 video format can typically occupy less than 5GB. The trade-off of course is, the more compression you apply, the more you degrade the picture quality. Its all relative, of course, as you can't really complain about the quality of a typical DVD when compared to its VHS version.

One of the most popular compression formats of the moment is DivX, which is able to compress, say, 20GB of AVI video into about 700MB (CD capacity). DivX has gained massive popularity due to its increased role in Movie, Film and Video Downloading, enabling users to download large files much faster than previously, and due to its very efficient compression, burn them on to CD-R disks, or even burn multiple movies onto one DVD disk.

It's a scene in which a woman, who up until now we believed was merely a regular person, carves a satanic symbol into the backside of a mirror hanging in her friends' bathroom. For the next hour, we follow a plot that shows little if any connection to this scene.
